Beginning with a review of how to use the List of Charts and Overview Sketch in our study guide Isaiah Illustrated, we focus on the endtime battle depicted by Isaiah through Chaos-Creation motifs. Delving into the parables of Jesus, we examine this polarization of ideologies at the end of the Time of the Gentiles prophesied in 1 Nephi 14:10, and the ensuing mission of the “servants” in Isaiah 49—the “kings” and “queens” of the Gentiles— John the Revelator’s “144,000” and Joseph Smith's “kings and priests” of temple restoration. Highlights include discussions on the parables of The Dragnet, The Mustard Seed, The Leavened Meal, The Hidden Treasure, The Pearl of Great Price, The Sheep and Goats, The Good Samaritan, The Wise and Foolish Virgins, Ruth and Orpah, The Two in the Field, The Two Women Grinding, The Wheat and the Tares, The Wedding Garment, and the Evil and Wise Servants—including Isaiah’s Tithing Imagery and the ancient Doctrine of the Two Ways.
